The skin's natural oils and stratum corneum often hinder optimal contact between the skin and electrodes, even with conductive gels. This results in inaccurate or unusable measurements. To minimize this source of error, the skin should be degreased and roughened before applying the electrodes.

Based on practical experience, OneStep AbrasivPlus is a further development of our OneStep EEG gel, featuring a coarser granule and a firmer consistency. For this reason, OneStep AbrasivPlus is particularly suitable for use on heavily keratinized skin or in cases of excessive perspiration, and also for use with ECGs and long-term recordings.
